Mission Statement

The YAC Boys Lacrosse program is designed to provide a safe, fun and challenging learning environment, developing the lacrosse skills of Pre-K through 8th grade boys. Use the resources and experience of our Town's legacy of lacrosse excellence and coaching knowledge to teach and grow the sport while fostering a love of the game. Ensure that anyone can participate and if they give full effort reach their ultimate potential.


Each level offers a different degree of competitiveness, but all strive to build an appreciation of the sport, gain an understanding of sportsmanship, and learn what it means to be part of a team.

Important Info

All players MUST register for their current grade. Players are not allowed to play up and will be rostered accordingly. Players who go to school outside of Yorktown require commissioner approval to be assigned to an A team (where applicable).

YAC Boys Fall 2026 Lacrosse Programs

Pre K - 3rd grade Lacrosse Clinic



When: Sunday September 13th through November 1st; 5PM to 6:15PM (7 sessions)

9/13, 9/20, 9/27, 10/4, 10/18, 10/25, 11/1

Where: Woodlands Legacy Fields 3100 Strang Blvd Yorktown Hgts, NY 10598

What: Introduction and development of stick control, cradling, shooting technique, pass accuracy, catching and small sided games. Typically 8-9 rotating station focused on the technical elements of the sport.

Requirements: Pre K through 2nd grade only requires a stick to play (please no fiddle stix’s). Lacrosse gloves are highly recommended for 1st & 2nd graders. Pre-K registrants must turn 5 by 12/1/26.

3rd grade full gear required which includes Stick, Helmet, Gloves, Chest Protector & Elbow

2nd graders will have the option to play full gear with 3rd graders

Additional Info: No clinic on 10/11 (Columbus Day)

Cost: $105 including $25 YAC registration fee.

4th Grade – 8th Grade Skills Training

When: Sunday September 13th through November 1st; 6:15PM to 7:30PM (7 sessions)

9/13, 9/20, 9/27, 10/4, 10/18, 10/25, 11/1

Where: Woodlands Legacy Fields 3100 Strang Blvd Yorktown Hgts, NY 10598

What: Skills clinic providing position specific fundamental instruction.


Offensive Players:

Shooting: Emphasis on mechanics, release speed, level changes, accuracy & footwork.

Dodging: Emphasis on dodge type, stick protection and footwork.


Defensive Players:

1v1 body positioning mechanics, drop steps, footwork and checking.

Ground ball & outlet pass efficiency.


Face Offs:

Focus on stance, clamping technique and ball exit strategy.

Requirements: Full gear: All boys will need a Lacrosse helmet, stick, shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves, cup and mouth guard.

Box Lacrosse Interest Form

Please fill out the below link if your son in rising grades 4-8th is interested in playing Box Lacrosse this fall. Registration to open after 8/16/26 and season starts after Labor Day. To occur Monday's and Friday's at Shrub Oak Memorial Park.

Cost = $175
